Flat Fee


All cases are handled on a non-refundable "flat-fee" basis, with half (50%) of the fee due upon signing the Agreement and the balance due no later than the date of filing. Note that these fees are our BASE fees for non-complex Immigration Cases and that we reserve the right to charge additional fees depending upon the level of complexity and legal issues that may be involved.


Below is a sample list of flat immigration legal fees for common cases. This list does not cover immigration filing fees which are separate. lease BE AWARE that fees are subject to change based on non-complex cases.


 USCIS filing fees, translation fees, certification fees, postage expenses, copying fees, etc., are the responsibility of the client, and must usually be paid in advance to the firm.  All reasonably anticipated costs are identified to the client at the time of retention.


Joint Petition/Adjustment Application for Spouse/Immediate Relative Residing Inside US

Includes:  Preparation of I-130 Petition for Alien Relative; Preparation of Spouse's simultaneous I-485 Adjustment to Permanent Residency Status; Preparation of Biographic Information Sheets; Preparation of Affidavit(s) of Support; Preparation of Employment Authorization document; Preparation of Travel Authorization; Submission of Package to USCIS; Preparation for Final Green Card Interview.  Assistance in the preparation and attainment of supporting letters , assembly of all forms and materials for submission to USCIS, all necessary follow-up (excluding attendance at any interviews or appeals of denials).                                                                             

$3000+ costs (Attendance at Adjustment Interview Billed Separately )


I-751 Joint Petition to Remove Conditional Aspects of Permanent Residency

Includes: Preparation of I-751 Joint Application to Remove Conditional Aspects of Permanent Residency; Assembly of all required information and documents and submission to USCIS as appropriate.          $1500 + costs ( Adjustment Interview Billed Separately)


Petition for Alien Relative Residing Outside US

Includes: Preparation of I-130 Petition for Alien Relative; Preparation of Affidavit(s) of Support; attorney certification of necessary documents; Assembly of all required information and documents and submission to USCIS and Consular Office as appropriate; all necessary follow-up (excluding attendance at any interviews or appeals of denials).                                   $2000+ costs   

Application for Permanent  Resident Status (I-130 already approved)

Includes:  Preparation of I-485 Adjustment to Permanent Residency Status; Preparation of Affidavit(s) of Support; Preparation of Employment Authorization document; Assembly of all required information and documents and submission to USCIS as appropriate.                                                                                                         $1500+ costs (Attendance at Adjustment Interview Billed Separately)


Naturalization Petitions (N-400)

Includes: Preparation of N-400 forms, assembly of supporting materials, assistance with preparation for citizenship exam and interview, submission of materials to USCIS as appropriate, all necessary follow-up (excluding attendance at any interviews or appeals of denials).                                                                                         $1,500+ costs (Attendance at Adjustment Interview Billed Separately)  



Typical Hourly Rate for Non-Flat Fee Matters   $250.00 per hour


* Response to request for Evidence (RFE) for clients – $1000.00.

** Response to RFE when original application was not filed by us –Varies on the type of case and issues involved.

*** Translation fees are extra.

**** Fee for travel to interview not included above.

***** Assistance with Consular processing is not included above.


****** Any expenses related to travel (more than 50/rt miles from our office) will be charged in addition to the above fees.


Free Case Evaluation OR Initial Consultation Fee

Attorney’s fees charged may be significantly different if additional issues, complications and/or complexity exist in a case. The attorney Reggie Smith expressly reserves the right to charge a different amount in a specific case and expressly reserves the right to change the attorney's fees for most cases, without notice or consent.

If any differences exist between the attorney’s fees listed on this website and the attorney’s fees stated in the retainer agreement signed by the attorney and the client, the retainer agreement will control.
Our sample retainer agreement is provided for your information. The listed amounts are attorney’s fees only. The list does not include legal services at the consulate office, removal proceedings or on appeal and does not include attorney traveling to attend any interviews or other appointments with USCIS or consulate office or any other locations outside of attorney’s office. The fee also does not include services needed to respond to Request for Additional Evidence.
