Reggie Smith is a Brazilian born attorney who received her first Law degree from Centro Universitario Moacyr Sreder Bastos in Rio de Janeiro, in 1999. Mrs. Smith also earned her Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. She is admitted to practice law in the United States and Brazil.
Reggie Smith migrated from Brazil to the United States in 2002. With no English, Reggie's career changed from Brazilian attorney to housekeeper, bank teller, customer service, assistant branch manager, and prior attending law school, she worked at the 16th Judicial Circuit (Monroe County, Florida) as Probate, Juvenile, and Mental Health case manager.
Reggie has been through the immigration process to change her then non-immigrant status to a green card holder by marriage. Thinking that immigration procedure was only to fill forms, she decided to apply for citizenship on her own, and it was denied. Thus, what seemed to be simple, was not so simple after all. Reggie was naive in not hiring an immigration attorney. She improved her English, attended law school in the United States, and learned the laws of this wonderful country.
Holding dual citizenship, as a Proud American, Reggie pursued and achieved her dream of becoming a lawyer again, but at this time in the United States. She is specializing in immigration laws and is devoted to helping you to solve your legal problem. Reggie is driven, personable, professional, and proactive. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
